Bulimba Studios was created in 2012 as a space to create new and exciting visual and sound content as well as provide an affordable and supportive creative environment for emerging and aspiring creative artists. Founded by Luke Monsour, one of Brisbane's most experienced video creators and educators having been freelancing since the mid 1990's and lecturing in university film courses from 2001, our studio began life in an old converted industrial warehouse in Godwin St, Bulimba. It consisted of a 4m high 2 wall white cyclorama photo studio and a 21sqm boutique sound studio, and little else.
After a few evolutions and upgrades to both studio areas (including extra sound proofing for the sound studio and new air conditioning for the large cyclorama studio in 2018) it was decided after much deliberation to close the physical studio site down in March 2019 at the onset of the Covid lockdown era.
Bulimba Studios still operates as one of Brisbane's most trusted photography and video production providers, taking out experience and expertise in image and sound creation to where our clients need us to be.
